 September 30, 2011 is the last day that NTS Calgary is offering services to the public. For those who took advantage of a facilities provided by NTS, this may become an additional financial impact resulting from shipping and/or travel/living if you find it necessary to send product to other labs out of province or perhaps out of country. This closure may be impact you or one of your customers.

There are ways to mitigate some of the impact:

 1)      Place greater emphasis on upfront preparation and assessment, especially with respect to product safety, EMC and planning the tests for the most cost-effective route to achieve international approvals. For those who do not have in-house staff performing this function, or may require additional support or advice from time to time, TJS Technical Services Inc. can assist you locally.

2)      Coordination of testing at quality test house while minimizing the number of test houses involved, ensuring that the test houses have the accreditations necessary, and accept for the target markets, and negotiating competitive quotes. TJS Technical Services has the experience and track record of project managing these activities while minimizing cost. We will make use of the best combination of development test facilities and compliance test facilities to optimize your resources.

It will be more difficult for many businesses moving forward with one less test house in the region – no question about that. We can help make the process less painful.
